Our client King John is INNOCENT! He was charged with unfair taxation, interfering with the Catholic Church, unlawful treatment of knights, and wrongly seizing the land of lords. Our king may have done some of these things. And is it possible that he was only trying to make good out of these accusations? Maybe he wanted to use the taxes that he raised to give back to his country. I hope you are not forgetting King John has all power. We are living in an ABSOLUTE MONARCHY! What do you want him to do just let some random peasant rule the country? As for interfering with the church, as far as I know life here centers around the church. Shouldn’t the King have some say in what goes on? Maybe he had a good reason to interfere. How did King John mistreat the knights? What was the worst he did, send them to fight? HELLO! THAT IS THEIR DUTY YOU KNOW! I can’t believe anyone would even think to accuse him of something he did just to protect our country! How could King John wrongly seize land that BELONGED TO HIM? You can’t seize something that is already yours. You can’t make such foolish accusations without having proof of what he did with the after effects of them. King John has never meant to harm anybody. King John has had bad spills in the past, but could he have possibly changed to a good man now instead of the rotten filth you people think of him as. In case anyone forgot, King John was forced to sign the Magna Carta. The people demanded it. Most of the nobles were alright with the way things were before the Magna Carta. He obviously didn’t want to sign it since he chose not to do what it said. Also, doesn’t the King deserve more respect than some of the common people? After all, he is in charge of an entire country.
